Pro-Cycling Team to Visit Solvang School
WHAT: Assembly with 200+ Solvang area schoolchildren grades 3rd-5th with members of the Trek-LIVESTRONG U23 pro-cycling team discussing their training camp here Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley this week and preparations for the 2011 racing season. They will also demonstrate their racing bicycles and how they are different from the bikes the students ride. The 30-minute presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer and autograph session.

ABOUT Trek-LIVESTRONG U23 TEAM:
Owned by Lance Armstrong, seven-time Tour de France champion, Trek-LIVESTRONG was founded in 2008 as a project to help develop the next generation of great young cyclists under the age of 23 years. The Trek-LIVESTRONG Team features leadership from ten -time Tour de France rider Axel Merckx, son of the great Belgian cyclist Eddie Merckx. The team proudly wears LIVESTRONG on their jerseys, helping to spread awareness for the global cancer fight sponsored by the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the team is holding their annual training camp in Solvang again this year.
